My partner bought me Bracken the Badger as a stocking filler last Christmas. I'm not sure why dooyoo have listed him as a soft toy as he's actually a small resin figurine.
Bracken the Badger is part of the 'My Blue Nose Friends' collection by Carte Blanche, the same company which brought the world Tatty Teddy - the Me to You bears.
Bracken as I mentioned is a small figurine which I believe is made from resin, he stands or should I say sits around six cm tall. To identify him as part of the My Blue Nose Friends and Tatty Teddy range he has a cute little blue nose which almost heart shaped. He also has a patch on his tummy on his left side, one above his right eyebrow and another on his bum just to the right of his tail. The pads on his back paws which are visible in his seated position are made from a pale pink velvety material.
On the base of the figure there are three small material pads so that when it is placed on a surface for display it shouldn't cause any damage. As well as some information telling you that the figure is hand made and hand painted, and that it is No. 25 in the series.
The figurine comes gift boxes and with a certificate of authenticity. Also in the box is a leaflet which details other My Blue Nosed Friends figurines which are available to collect and a small plastic card about the size of a credit card - the card tells you that Bracken is "The bright-eyed badger with a taste for midnight feasts... especially when they're with you", this is also printed on the bottom of the figure. On the reverse of the card you can also write your name underneath to say that Bracken is a friend of yours.
As a badger lover I think this little figure is absolutely adorable, he sits proudly on my fireplace alongside my other Bracken figurine and plush toy. I do find that he looks a little sad as the shape of his mouth his a bit turned downward but that makes him a little more appealing to me. The only thing that I don't particularly like about the figure is the velvety material on his paws as I really hate the feel of this - it makes me feel all shuddery, but as I very rarely touch them it isn't too much of a problem.
I find that he is very easy to keep clean and a quick wipe over with a microfibre cloth is more than enough to keep him dust free and looking like new.
I'm not sure how much my other half paid for this as it was a gift but when I first saw it last year in our local gift shop and dropped some less than subtle hints I seem to remember it was around £12 which I think is a fair price.
