my son likes to treat his Mummy

      ~I Love Mum Bear~

This gorgeous bear is made by Keel Toys Ltd and is available from Clinton Cards. It measures 32 x 33 x 24cm and is hand wash only. This bear is designed for a child to give to their Mum and would make the perfect gift for Mothers Day or for a birthday gift. It is recommended that children under the age of 3 years don't play with the bear as there may be some fabric loss.

At the moment, this bear can be bought from www.clintoncards.co.uk priced at £5.00. It can also be bought in the store too. It is reduced from £10.00.

      ~My Thoughts~

My handsome little boy is always on the look out for treats for his Mummy. We were out shopping a few weeks ago and my son went in to Clintons with his Gran. They had a sale on and he returned to meet me with this beautiful bear. I believe it was reduced by 75% at the time thanks to a shop promotion but £5.00 is still a very fair price to pay for this bear. I was delighted with my gift as he picked it himself after noticing the word 'Mum' on it. He also knows of my love of soft toys and knew that I would appreciate this. I am appreciative of any gift that my son chooses for me and this was no exception. The bear is a good size - perfect for cuddles. At the moment, I am sharing this bear with Boo. He likes to take it to bed with him but if he sees that I am tired or sad about something, he always insists that I cuddle the bear. Who am I to object?

The bear is really cute. It is lovely and padded. It sits upright without falling over so is perfect for sitting on a made up bed. The bear is a pale cream colour and has a super soft furry coat. The fur appears to be well attached to the body of the bear and is quite thick. I have noticed a small bit of fluff coming off the end of the fur but in general, the bear is well made and of a decent quality. This bear has a cute pink nose, quite hard eyes and a soft, bushy tail.

The main 'Mum' appeal of this bear is the soft, plush love heart that the bear is holding. This is stitched well to the bears hands and his tummy too. It is pink and states 'I Love Mum'. It is extremely adorable. The design isn't exactly unique and I do have similar bears that my son has bought me for Mothers Day but I love this bear just as much as the others as it has meaning. It is more special because my son picked it himself without prompting or because he had to for a special occasion. I think this would appeal to both Mums of young children and those with adult children as it says 'Mum' and not 'Mummy'. I would happily buy one for my Mum.

      ~Final Thoughts~

My bear doesn't get dirty but I imagine that it would be easy to give the fabric a quick once over with a damp sponge. The bear does seem to hold scents really well. I have a habit of giving my bears a quick spray with either perfume or lavender spray and the scent lingers subtedly on the bear. My son likes this aspect as he finds a trace of my favourite perfume to be quite comforting if he is cuddling the bear. I am careful not to spray much though. I would recommend this lovely bear. It is well priced and makes for a gorgeous gift for a Mum who deserves a little treat. I treasure mine.

      Thanks for reading :)
