      A great teddy.

By now if your viewing this item you should know that Stitch is a creation from the Disney collection. If not then this review might not profit you.

Upon first seeing this teddy I thought that it was pretty cute. At a glance it looked just like Stitch from Lilo and Stitch and I really admire that. However, certain features of this teddy are distorted. The teddy is a little too chunky to be realistic to the real animation stitch. Though it still resembles Stitch through the features and colours.

The toy itself is soft and fits pretty much anywhere. The description says large but in actual fact it isn't that large. Though it's not something I'd give to a child to play with.

The details consist of a blue outer body and purple inner ears. He has black tear drop eyes with baby blue around them. He also has paws that are lines with dark blue claws.

The item costs £18 at the Disney store and is currently on shelves and in the online store now.

I would recommend this item to strong lovers of Stitch or Lilo and Stitch. Though some features are distorted it is still a great teddy to have for the novelty. I've had this teddy a while and nothing bad has happened to it yet. It hasn't faded either.

A great, cute toy for kids or pillow for teens

I love Disney and Lilo and Stitch is one my favourite films (surprisingly as it's one of the newer lot) and I have wanted a Stitch cuddly toy for ages. All the ones I had seen however were either a small Beanie type one or ones that were good sized but were not made of a material I particularly liked and his 'fur' always seemed to pale.

I first found this toy in the London Disney store, they always have stands of their newest soft toy additions and at the time it was a range of extra large ones that includes Simba from The Lion King, Marie from The Aristocats and this Stitch. If I were not attending a music gig later that night and didn't have to lug him around for the rest of the day I'm sure I would have bough him then and there. I texted my mum to keep a look out on the online store though as I desperately wanted him. A month or two passed and Christmas arrive along with a large Disneystore bag which contained my Stitch! I think he cost about £20-£25 and these extra large toys are often on Sale.

This extra large Stitch is about two feet high... he's pretty huge. It's the biggest soft toy I've ever owned, he head flops forward a little because of the weight of it. The material used overall is that soft almost velvety (but not velvet because velvet feels weird) soft furry material that I think makes for a high quality soft toy. The label states this is surface washable so great for hugs from kids with sticky hands. The toy doesn't have a huge amount of detail, mainly his face which is still pretty simple, certain parts, like his nose wrinkles and eyes are detailed with thick thread which looks really nice and well made. His head and body are squishy and soft, the toy has no hard bits for kids to hit themselves with (when I was younger some toys often had plastic eyes which hurt). There is more detail to make his fingers and toes stand out more and they are not too floppy. The to has a little bit of fluff on the head which is the type of fluff that will easily get knotted and sticky in the hands of little kids but seeing as it's only a tuft this won't affect the overall appearance too much. The ears are the thinnest part, they are extremely big and floppy and feels like they have strong cardboard inside to help keep some shape. It really captures the look of Stitches ears but I think for kids his ears are going to be what he gets dragged around by and may be likely to come apart.

There is an embroidered badge on his bum saying 'Disney Store Exclusive,' obviously this is a bit of branding but it definitely reassures you are paying good money as Disney always offer good quality and you can see this is because of how much the toy really looks like his character and the standard of the materials and threads used is top quality. I have had my Stitch for almost a year and although obviously I don't play with him like a kid would he looks brand new. Overall the toy is really great, I think he is more a huggy toy for slightly older kids (I imagine smaller kids would find it difficult as their hands would probably be too small to hold him properly) and for Disney obsessed teenage girls like me who mostly use him as a big pillow to watch tv haha.
