“ Brnad: Disney / Type: Soft toy „
I am, like some of the other reviewers, an unashamed MASSIVE Eeyore fan (best Winnie the Pooh character hands down) and so when I spied this on my many visits to the Disney store I had to have it. So, as any self respecting female would do, I begged and pleaded with my other half for him to buy me it! My 21st birthday came and went and no Eeyore; however when we went on a shopping trip at the end of the summer he took me into the Disney store and bought me one as a going to uni present. After we bought him we went to Nandos and our waitress was so taken by him she wanted to take him home too!
I actually have the 'extra large' Eeyore soft toy; which is about half the height of the super giant version. This soft toy costs around £35 - however it sometimes goes on sale to £17.50 (before you think I'm money grabbing, I spotted it originally when it was half price and started my nagging then - not my problem that my OH dragged his feet!). The toy is 50cm high and 48cm wide, making it the perfect cuddle size! The tail, an important feature on any Eeyore item, is attached with velcro and a small length of ribbon so it can be detached and reattached without being lost. The 'super giant' version is one I can only dream of, as it retails at £100!
I love this for snuggling up to when my OH isn't there, it's wonderful to hold and so soft and comforting! I imagine that any Eeyore fanatic would be well impressed with this. It would be a nice christening gift for a little girl too who could grow up with Eeyore and have him there to hug and hold whenever they feel the need. If you know someone who loves Eeyore and doesn't have this - when they need something special, this is the gift for them!
Despite being 38 years old, I still hold a bit of a (not so secret) passion for Eeyore. I don't know what it is about Eeyore, but I do identify with this pessimistic but loveable donkey - and I have many Eeyore products dotted around my house. For Valentine's Day, my partner bought me several things, among them a Eeyore Super Giant Soft Toy - which now takes pride of place in my conservatory and seems to double up as a dogs bed, as well as a punch bag for my three year old! I did sneak a peak at how much this Eeyore cost.....and it's not cheap by any stretch of the imagination. Currently, the Disney Store is selling the Eeyore Super Giant Soft Toy for £100.00 - which does include delivery (within the UK).
The first thing that I noticed about this product is its size. It's pretty massive and certainly lives up to its "giant" name! It is 1 metre tall and half a metre wide - and so it is currently about the size of my three year old son. Its natural posture is to be sitting up, but Eeyore can also be laid on it's front and this way it can be used as a pillow - and is pretty comfortable. The material of the Eeoyre is soft and silky and feels very good quality. In particular, the ears are long and droopy and have a very nice feel to them - and it's actually quite therapeutic to just sit and stroke the ears absentmindedly. The product seems to be really well made with good stitching and it has managed to stand up well to a lot of physical abuse that has been aimed at poor Eeyore.
Overall, I love this Eeyore - and while it's expensive, it certainly does stand out from the crowd and is not a shrinking violet.
I love everything Disney, as you can probably tell from some of my previous reviews, and when my fiancé landed up to my house last Christmas with this lovely big (massive) Eeyore toy last month (a get well present for a recent problem with hypertension I have been experiencing) and well it cheered me right up.
To start off with, I must say this toy is massive and really quite heavy, it easily comes past my knees in height and is about 20" tall, give or take an inch or so and you would struggle carrying it around the house if you were a child and wanting to play with it, for this reason, I think this toy is better suited to be on display, though it is completely huggable and the little ones that be around my house love sitting on it and giving him big lovely hugs.
This Eeyore soft toy looks just like the Eeyore in the Winne the Pooh show, he is purple with a blue tummy and his tail is detachable and held in place with Velcro. He really looks the part and is really cute and cuddly. The material that is used to cover this huge Eeyore is lovely and soft which gives him the extra cuddle factor.
For the purposes of this review, I looked up the price of this toy (I will apologise to my fiancé later for looking up the price lol) and you can get this toy on Ebay for around £15, though I expect if you went to your nearest Disney Store it would cost double that or more.
I think that this is a lovely present and if you buy it online it is not even overly expensive, one thing I will say is that you should make sure that yourself or whoever is going to use it has some space in which to put it, as when I first received mine I had to clear out a bit of space in my room to put him in.
This toy is lovely and cuddly and perfect for any Eeyore fans, I thought it was a lovely present just because it was such a change to the usual presents my fiancé ever gets me. Overall I will give my Eeyore 4 out of 5 stars.

Super Giant Eeyore Review:
I am going to start this by saying that yes this is a review about a super GIANT Eeyore soft Toy and yes I did buy this for a 24 year old woman.
So last year (2010), I was in a new relationship and wanted to treat my partner to something crazy that I knew they would want, I went round and round in circles and then came across a super giant Eeyore and thought how big could it be and she already has hundreds of them, then I saw the price (see for yourself on the Disney store) but in the end I decided to take the plunge. The Disney store to its credit was really good and allowed to pick when I wanted delivery (quite a big deal with a product this size as I has a feeling it wouldn't fit through the post box).
I ordered it and picked my date, which was sometime in November, the product arrived and only the other ½ was home, annoying the box arrived with a rip and I received an e-mail with a tail poking out of the hole. I got home and the box was still intact but unconfined excitement and a total lack of storage space meant it had to be opened. This was greeted with very adult dancing around the room and yippee after yippee.
Once opened I was glad to see there was no more damage than the usual removable Eeyore tail and that this thing certainly is a beast, it completely dwarfs the cat who much to my dismay loves climbing all over it and Eeyore looked quite happy when buckled in on a trip up to London to be shown off to her parents.
The Eeyore itself:
The toy itself is the usual Eeyore style and I know you can get different colour styles (she has them all) and I think this one is in the nicest range of them all, it is the blue with purple and as I previously mentioned the tail it attached by Velcro (and string) so it can be removed.
The material it is made of is very soft but also seems to be quite durable as it has coped very well with the cat jumping on it. The dimensions of the toy are SUPER GIANT, I mean I can try to hug this thing and I can't get my arms round it, height wise it is no quite so gigantic but for a soft toy is still the biggest that I have seen and sits at just under a meter tall. I have also just been informed that it is very nice to hug it round the neck as long as you don't squeeze too hard as you wouldn't want to strangle him.
Despite its size this soft toy does still have its uses other than as a climbing frame for the cat it is also good for cuddling when ill or lonely (so I have been told as I can't admit to having done this myself).
Realistically this is not a toy that your child is going to be able to cuddle when they are ill or anything, but I imagine it is great for them to play on and is sure to make every other Eeyore fan envious.
It is a great toy but expensive and a bit impractical but marvellous at the same time.
