      Cookie Monster toy

      C is for Cookie

Sesame Street is my favourite show from when I was a kid and I'm so sad that its not on television here as I would love my kids to watch it. Not only is it entertaining with all its weird and wonderful creatures but its very educational too and part of the way I learn to read. I have a few DVDs that I have bought for my little girl to watch but we've also watched some of the classic clips on You Tube too. One of my favourites and the one that really makes my little girl laugh is C is for Cookie. This is where Cookie monster sings about his favourite food of all times, cookies. In the end he eats his cookie and the crumbs go everywhere and this really makes my little girl laugh.

I found this Cookie Monster cuddly toy online and knew I had to get it for my little girl even if I admit that I sort of bought it for me too as Cookie has always been one of my favourite characters too. Cookie is in a standing up position and just looks all cute and cuddly and fun. He is made of a soft plush material which is a little bit shaggy and he's wonderfully and cuddly and soft. Being a 50cm sized monster he's quite large and so very nice to cuddle and the perfect size for my little girl. He has quite light blue fur and I think they have matched this colour to the colour he is on the television well as he looks very authentic and real.

Cookie has big white goggly eyes with dark black pupils in them that gives him his funny moister look. These are at the top of his head and close together and I also think this gives him his unique look. Cookie also has a wide open mouth with black felt inside it. The mouth is open as although this toy is not a puppet and is just a soft stuffed toy Cookie himself is a puppet on the show and so needs to have a mouth that looks like you can put your hand in the back of it and manipulate him to talk.

This Cookie toy cost me £15 from Amazon which for a Sesame Street toy is really good as I have seen other monsters on sale in other shops for a lot more money. You can slo buy Cookie in a 30cm size for just £10 but I feel this would be too small and love the size we've got.

Take one home today I just recommend not leaving cookies around as he will gobble them up!!
