He doesn't talk, which is probably just as well, as Bert is one of the most miserable Sesame Street characters. We would grow up with a nation of depressed children! There are dozens of toys and cuddly Sesame Street people doing the rounds and here we have a newer cuddly version of Bert. First things first, where is Ernie? Surely they should come as a duo. Gund, who make the toy have given you the option to buy both characters separately, so you can pick your favourite or splash out on a Bert and Ernie.
This Bert is nice and squishy meaning you can cuddle him, use him as a cushion or a pillow or even just as a bed decoration. His facial features (or lack of them) have been captured well, with the stern expression glaring at you. His orange nose is bubbly and a focal point, though you will also be drawn to his small black tuft of hair which suggests he is either balding or in need of a good barber!
Bert's choice in fashion leaves a lot to be desired, he favours the same striped shirt, which looks orderly and dull. It has been replicated very well here with the correct colours and stripes. He dons disgusting green slacks..have you ever seen a man in green trousers? No, me neither! Detail on Bert's shoes is impressive too with the sneakers well shaped.
He is machine washable which is handy if you're going to get him stained and he stands about fourteen inches tall, though don't try and stand him or he will just fall over. He is a sad old chap, but a much loved character and this is a worthy toy, which has been made well with attention to detail in all the right areas. Bert will cost you about thirteen pounds as new.
Soft cuddly version of your favourite Sesame Street characters!
