Whenever I visit London a visit to Harrods is a must-particularly as they have AMAZING cake in the food hall! However, whenever I visit Harrods I usually end up picking up a teddy bear or something for my son. On my last visit down there I picked up the Bobby bear.
The Bobby teddy bear is a traditional looking teddy bear and he sits on his bottom with his legs sticking out to the front and his arms dangling down besides him and just touching on to his legs. On his foot he has Harrods stitched on using a golden thread which blends well with his golden sandy fur.
The Bobby teddy bear has a traditional looking teddy bear's face with a nose part that comes out from the actual face. At the end of this part there is a nose stitched on using a brown thread and he has two shiny black eyes. His ears stick out and are prominent. He really is totally gorgeous to look at!
The bear is completed by a purple Harrods ribbon which is tied into a bow around his neck.
The bear cost me £12.95 from Harrods in July this year and I think it was really worth the money. It is made from such a soft material that you really do just want to give it a cuddle. The bear sits on my son's bed and really does look lovely there. He doesn't play with it but I think it is a nice gift all the same and something that can be passed on to future generations I hope.
The bear seems to be incredibly well made and besides the stitching on the nose and the foot you cannot make out any other stitching which holds the bear together or anything. If I try hard to feel under the fur I can feel some stitching around the arms etc. I like the fact that the bear sits up nicely and isn't floppy like some teddies you can buy-although it is a very soft bear to feel you get the feeling that it is sturdy too. It looks almost proud as it sits on my son's bed.
All in all I think this is a really beautiful gift to give to someone or as a nice treat for yourself if you collect teddy bears. I certainly recommend this bear! I would say though that if you are going to have to order online do it at a time when you want more than one thing as Harrods charge a steep £5.95 standard delivery charge.
