      A great cuddly.

I have covered a couple of Disney soft toys since I have joined this site and by now I think you can guess I am a huge Disney fan. On a whole I have over 40 unique Disney soft toys and not all of them are on this site. When I saw this Simba soft toy in the Disney Store, I simply had to purchase it. I mean who doesn't love the lion king.

The soft toy is a great look a like in comparison to the animation Simba. He has all the same features and he is not distorted like some cheap toys you get. Of course, this teddy is not cheap, so you get what you expect. He is in a sitting down position which makes the soft toy easy for storage or display. I sit him at the bottom of my bed and he never moves. Of course, until I make my bed. He doesn't have much fur, but what he does have of it, it is soft to the touch. I've had this teddy a little over a year and it has not discolored. Which, again is brilliant because that's what you expect from a Disney store product.

The teddy cost me £18 from the Disney Store which is extremely cheap for a novelty item from the store. I would recommend this item to Disney and The Lion King lovers. The product is perfect for all ages as there are no parts to choke on. As a collector I think it was worth every penny.

A big, soft and VERY cute toy from The Disney Store.

My daughter wasn't very impressed last year when I decided to go off to London without her, so whilst I was there I decided to stop off at The Disney Store to pick up a peace offering! She loves The Lion King and she loves soft toys, so I decided on a beautiful Simba soft toy.

The Lion King is a popular Disney film which was first released in 1994. It centres around a little lion cub called Simba and is full of memorable songs and loveable characters. I'd be surprised if there's anybody in the world that hasn't seen it and even more surprised if there's anybody that hasn't cried at some point throughout it! The toy is of young Simba, rather than older Simba. I think most children would prefer young Simba over older Simba, as he's much cuter looking and is more fun loving and cheeky in the film. Although the Dooyoo title suggests it's a 'large' toy, it is actually described by The Disney Store as 'medium' sized (maybe The Disney Store used to sell a large version but they don't any more).

The Simba Soft Toy is 30cm tall and 21cm wide, which is a good size - the perfect size for cuddles in fact! Although he's quite large I think he's suitable to take out and about (he's also soft, lightweight and bendy) but is likely to take up too much space in a bag or suitcase. My daughter usually keeps him in her bed. It's fur is made from a fleecy polyester material and is really soft. It's body is thick and plush - really squidgy and cuddly. He looks very cute, completely yellow with lighter yellow chest, belly, paws and mouth area. He has squishy beanbag feet which ensure he doesn't topple over and tufts of hair on the end of his tail and on top of his head. He also has lovely big ears and great detail in the face - cute pink nose, mouth and big embroidered eyes. Simba looks exactly as he does in the film, there's no mistaking him.

It costs £18.00 which may seem a little expensive for a soft toy that doesn't do anything, however it does look nice and it is good quality. We've had it for well over a year and it still looks as good as new. It can be brought from most Disney Stores and from The Disney Store website. The toy is a Disney Store exclusive which means you wont find it elsewhere - there is a small badge/patch on one of Simba's back feet which reads 'Genuine, Original, Authentic Disney Store'. It is suitable for children 12+ months (so that includes adults!). There aren't any removable parts (buttons etc) but I suppose the fur on the tail and on top of the head could be a potential hazard for young babies if they managed to rip a chunk off and decided to eat it!

Overall this is a lovely soft toy for fans of The Lion King/Simba.

A well made cuddly thats ideal for lion king lovers or collectors

Even at 6 my daughter still loves her cuddly toys so I was happy to see that over the last Christmas period there was a large simba teddy reduced from £40 to £20 in the Disney store. Im a huge fan of the quality of Disney store products and since we had watched the lion king a few weeks prior I took the bargain and made the purchase. On Christmas morning my daughter was over the moon with the teddy and it has had a firm place on her bed ever since.

The large cuddly toy is extremely well made and stitched with the quality expected from the Disney store resulting in no lose strands. The fur is soft and velvety to touch and printed on the rear is the Disney store exclusive logo. Although this toy is a little too big to carry around I would say it is mostly used as a decorating toy on the bed rather than an actual play toy.

My daughter owns lots of cuddly toys and most that are big enough to carry comes around with her and gets taken to sleepovers but this one has yet to venture from our home meaning that it indeed doesn't get played with at all so no wonder the quality has remained exceptional.

Squishy cuddly soft toy which any child would love!!

Look at that face how can you resist him? well I couldn't!

My daughter went away to Uni in September and was feeling really home sick. Whilst out Christmas shopping we decided to have a nostalgic browse around the Disney Store where she spotted Simba on offer looking at her from a giant plastic tub. I thought to myself I'll get that for her for Christmas but they were selling out as we were in there! Stationing her in Primark I slipped off under false pretences and bought one. At £20 reduced from £40 he was a real bargain (over the years I've spent hundreds of pounds in there on soft toys- including Lion King teddies).

After purchasing him I wondered how I was going to hide all 24 inches of him but he's so soft and squishy I managed to squeeze him into a holdall.

Simba is a lion cub from the Lion King cartoon movie first released by Disney in 1994. After a recent 3d cinema release he's found a new audience.

Simba is made with really soft fleecy polyester material- so soft and big that my daughter uses him as a pillow! He's not over filled making him slightly floppy but he still sits up! This makes him light for a child to easily to carry around. There are no hard bits on him, his great big brown eyes for example are embroidered as is his big pink nose. He comes in cheerful yellow with dark brown paws and ears, he has a fluffy yellow mane and tail detail.
Large Simba is suitable for children age 12 mnths +

As for cleaning a quick sponge down was adequate after being in Uni halls with my daughter but I wouldn't like to risk putting him in the washing machine (he probs wouldn't fit anyway!!). As for availability he's probably exclusive to the Disney Store (well that's the only place I've seen this particular 'model' in this quality).

In conclusion Simba is a lovely floppy addition to anyones bed even nostalgic 20 year olds!

          A gorgeous soft toy

On a trip to The Trafford centre before Christmas with my friend we called in to the Disney store which is a regular occurrence whenever we go there. Whilst we were in there it was brought to our attention that the large soft toys which usually sell for £40.00 were on offer for £20.00 which was some saving. I have to say now that I am not a soft toy person at all really and whilst I have a couple dotted around in my room they are not really my thing at all but I fell completely in love with the large Simba there and then. Sadly because my friend and I were super organised and had already bought each others gifts we left the shop empty handed! Little did I know though that my friend had returned to the store after swapping some other gifts and bought me the Simba for Christmas!

I am sure most people know who Simba is given the popularity of the Disney film The Lion King but for those who don't know he is the lion cub from that film. The large Simba soft toy measures 24" and so it is a large toy which takes up considerable space and he currently sits on my bed but will often mysteriously appear in my son's bed instead of mine as my son has taken a real shine to him, something which I am now kicking myself about as I was going to buy my son one but was talked out of it by a few people and the toy is no longer available on the Disney store website and is being sold for ridiculous amounts on both amazon and ebay.

The first thing I noticed as I had a cuddle with this soft toy was just how soft the material is on him and it reminded me of material used on my son's first teddy bears as a baby which is always super soft too! This particular toy is suitable for children aged 12 months plus but I see no reason why a younger child couldn't have it with supervision as there are no eyes which will pull off or anything.

Simba's face is just beautiful and he has big eyes stitched on as well as a pink nose, large ears and a fluffy tuft of hair on his head for his under developed mane. Now as I have already mentioned I don't really "do" teddies but Simba really is the exception to this rule as he is perfect for cuddling in to and resting my head on whilst I watch television and such like! My son really loves to cuddle him as well and I have caught him many a time fast asleep in bed cuddled up to Simba! What is also nice about this soft toy is how floppy he is! He isn't all hard and rigid which some can be and so his legs just flop around all over the place which I think is really cute!

Should you get anything on the Simba soft toy I would advise that you carefully sponge clean it as I don't think it would take very well to being put in the washing machine and it would be a real shame to lose it. I haven't got anything on it thankfully but my friend told me before she gave it to me that her mum marked it and they had to wash it clean but there is no evidence of this on Simba as far as I can see and so it must work well.

I think it is a real shame that the Disney store do not currently have any of these toys in because people are exploiting the fact that it is a popular Disney character and as such one is being sold on amazon for £104! I will personally be keeping my eyes open in the hope they do come back online as I know my son would adore one for his birthday in May and it was save him pinching mine!

Thank you for reading my review!
