I highly recommend this bear as it allows children with asthma to have stuffed animals.

When my daughter was diagnosed with asthma one of the recommendations I was given was to remove stuffed animals out of her room as they attract dust mites. We did so and she wasn't very happy about not having one to sleep with - after a quick google search I found out about Asthma Friendly toys range by Rainbow Designs (there products have been scientifically tested and proven to be safe for people with allergies and asthma) and quite luckily Amazon stocked a few of them. I chose the bear for it's Classic look but they also stock pink or blue spotted dogs for example. I was impressed with it when it arrived, as it only cost £12 (includes delivery) I wasn't sure what to expect (ie: something tiny) but it is quite big (38cm), and very soft to the touch as it's velvet. To maintain it "asthma friendly" does require a little work though including freezing and washing (the complete instructions come with the bear) every month or so which we have been doing and the bear still looks as good as it did the first day! My daughter has become very attached to her bear and I will definately be buying more from this range.
As mentioned these are available on Amazon but if you prefer buying items from shops instead of online they do a very similar (if not identical) one at Build-A-Bear workshops accross the country for the same price.
