My grandson fell in love with paddington bear after me reading stories to him at bedtime when he came to stay so when I saw this adorable Paddington bear on Amazon I just had to buy it. I gave it to him for his birthday.
It cost me £12.99 and was worth every penny just to see the look on my grandsons face when I gave it to him.

The little Paddigton is the replica of the bear in the stories right down to his little tag that he wore in the book , it is so cute you just want to squeeze it when you get hold of it.
For your money you get the bear which is made from soft furry material and he comes dressed in a red hat and blue duffle coat which can be taken off if you have to wash him.

The makers of the bear are Rainbow Designs and they have their own internet site www.raindowdesigns.co.uk where you can go to buy assessories for your paddington bear, you can buy little red boots, a red coat, or a blue hat this is either for spares or if the clothes get lost or damaged whilst being played with. I think this is a good idea from the makers as the first thing a child seems to do with a toys that has clothes is undress it and the clothes can get lost.

The paddington bear is 46cm tall and he is standing up.
Paddington wearing red felt hat, blue felt duffle coat with traditional wooden toggle fastenings. These are easy to open and close and are securely fastened on. This toy however is not for small children and is recommended for children over three years old as they could chew the toggles on the coat or boots that you can buy as extra's but don't come with the bear.

Paddington also wears a luggage tag with 'Please look after this bear. Thank you' wording. The tag is only made of cardboard and this unfortunately hasn't lasted as it got pulled off, which is probably why it is recommended for older children. i didn't expect it to last on there when i saw it as my grandson is a bit rough and tumble.
If you collect teddy bears then this would be of no problem to you as you'd have it out of reach of children in your collection.
He is modelled on the original paddington bear illustrated in the books.

My grandson loves his paddigton and takes it everywhere with im, he sleeps with it and we have washed it about four times and he hasn't fallen apart or faded. the bear is soft and cuddley and very comforting for a child to hug.

I am very happy with the purchase it has made my grandson happy and the price was not to high, I also love the fact that you can buy spare clothing for paddington as it keeps the toy looking good.
We haven't had to buy anything yet but its good to know we can if we need to.
