My son received this Peter Rabbit as a present when he was a baby, and it is a beautiful, quality item. Soft toys, including branded ones, come and go in our house, but Peter is a keeper! He is just over 30cm tall, and very sturdily made. His fur is soft but with a great quality to it as if it is trying to be slightly realistic than some. It has a satisfying strokeability to it. The seams are very tightly stitched, and over the four years of light use in our 3-child household he has fared well, with no damage whatsoever (no mean feat, I can tell you!). He has velvety cream fabric in his ears, which is soft too, and his jacket is made from similar velvety soft fabric in a classic blue hue. The jacket is stitched slightly together at the front, and also stitched to the back of his neck, so it stays on well. You could perhaps detach it if you desired, but I haven't tried this. (In the picture his jacket isn't fastened, so perhaps you are supposed to snip the stitches after purchase but I am happy for it to stay on.
Peter has a tufty little cotton-ball-style tail, which is very well attached and well-stuffed. His stuffing overall is excellent - no saggy bits - and is rather firm rather than feeling bean-like. He has heirloom style eyes, the large classic teddybear type ones, which look really good. He is holding a fabric carrot, with curly felt leaves, which again is excellent quality and remains intact. He has brown little padded feet, and is designed so that you can stand him up quite easily, so he looks good on a shelf or the end of a bed.
This Peter Rabbit toy is such good quality, I would highly recommend him. My kids enjoy cuddling him while reading Beatrix Potter stories, and I am confident he will continue to be a favourite in our house for years to come!
This beautifully crafted soft toy is a perfect reproduction of Beatrix Potter's well-known and best-loved character, Peter Rabbit. His lovely brown fur is very soft to the touch. He measures approximately 32 cm from ear to toe and he is wearing a removable, pale blue jacket just like to the one he left behind in Mr McGregor's garden!
