My son has three of these Ty George Pig's in different sizes. we had bought him the largest one (15") from The Entertainer toy shop, it was on offer for £15 but usually retails closed to £20. He has also been given the smaller (7") and medium (12") sized George's as gifts, I have seen these on amazon for around £6 and £10.

For anyone who doesn't know, George Pig is the little brother of Peppa Pig. Peppa Pig is a brilliant cartoon aimed at young children and seems to be a massive hit! My son who is now 21 months has loved Peppa Pig for a while and George certainly seems to be his favourite.

The George Pig toy is made from soft material and is nicely padded. Although there are no dangerous button type eyes, the toys do contain beans as they are beanie baby type toys. They are recommended for over 36 months but I think they are safe for my almost 2 year old and we have never had any problems with any of the 3 George's he owns. Obviously use your own discretion when deciding if they would be suitable for your child.

The George toys are pretty much identical to the cartoon character, pink face, arms and legs, with a blue torso (his clothing). The only difference being that unlike the cartoon, each eye is on a separate side of George's head, but I do think the toy would have looked odd if they had tried to replicate the cartoon with two eyes on one side. George is, as he often is in the cartoon, holding his green toy Mr Dinosaur. Mr Dinosaur is sewn onto George's body and also sewn too his left hand. On all three George's that my son owns the stitching that attached the dinosaur to George's hand has come undone, this doesn't really cause any problems though and the dinosaur has stayed attached to George's body.

My son absolutely loves these toys, he takes the medium sized one to bed every night and loves to give the big George cuddles. The smaller sized George easily fits into my bag and is often taken out with us.

The Ty George Pig is not machine washable and has to just be wiped down with a damp cloth, this seems to be keeping the toys clean enough.

I would definitely recommend these soft toys!
