      Very helpful

My little Palm V was moaning and groaning to me the other day: it was out of memory, with a few AvantGo channels and a few games. They only come with 2 meg, which really isn't enough. So, I had two options, and I did the obvious one and went to Tottenham Court Road on the search for a Palm Vx. And then I stopped. Because, quite apart from the fact that the m505 is coming out soon (basically a Palm V with colour and lots more memory), I discovered this program, which is the BEST IN THE WORLD. What it basically does is uses the empty Flash memory in your Palm to put program files in, making another 500-600K available for you to use. "The empty Flash memory?!" Yup. You see, proper Palms have flash memory, so that when it's time to upgrade them to OS3.5, for example, you just download the new upgrade, and it puts into flash memory - which is slower, but never erases itself if the batteries fall out. "So, hang on, run this by me again - just by using one program, I can get another 600K in my Palm V?" Yup. "Wow. Bet it's expensive." Just $17.50 - and because you can download it straight off the web, there's no customs or delivery issues, neither. You have to be careful what you put into flash memory - because it doesn't change very often, you're best putting program files in there rather than data files, and some programs don't like being put in flash memory, but as long as you're reasonably careful it works just fine. The compatibility page is here: http://www.handera.com/products/compat.asp Critically, AvantGo works fine in flash memory, so you can free up a good 400K of your main PalmV memory almost instantly. A must-have download. Check the list at the site for the extra memory you'll get, and whether your Palm device is supported - M100s, for example, aren't. A small update: the site address h
