Hi today I will be reviewing SPB Mobile shell for Windows Mobile devices.

If you have a Windows Mobile device you will be familiar with the today screen.
This program removes the need for this and replaces it with a fully customizable starting screen with scrollable pages and iPhone like apps list.


Features
Integrated Weather- Much like the SPB weather program I reviewed this gives you a 5 day forecast of 1 or more cities

Integrated Agenda view - In the Professional Home screen it shows you the next 2 upcoming events you have entered on your calendar.

World Time - Shows you the time of anywhere in the world (Haven't used this myself)

Wireless Manager - Allows you to turn off Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and turn the phone on flight mode all in one place.

Profiles - Allows you to quickly change from loud to silent or vibrate in one place.

Fully customizable menus - Allows you to choose what you want on your program list where you want them and also lets you choose which features you want on the start screen. I for example have An analogue clock, Weather view, Battery indicator, Padlock (locks phone), Email text messages and missed calls view (shows how many of each you have).

I use the Lifestyle home as my primary start menu which has the above as well as a program list which appears when I scroll my finger from one side to the other and when I do it to the other side it shows:
Windows Media Player shortcuts (allows to play, choose playlist, go back or forward).
Wireless Manager
Digital Clock and date
Profile Manager
Favourite Program

As well as the Lifestyle menu there is the Professional Home which you can't change the layout has:
Weather, Digital clock and the date
Text message missed calls and emails
Profile Manager
Agenda
Calendar

Another Main feature of this program is Facebook integration which for you contacts will be able to obtain a picture of your contact from your Facebook friends list. To use this feature you must have an internet connection, Facebook profile, your contact on your Facebook friends list and your contact must have a picture of themselves on their profile.

As well as all these great things there is on the start menus the ability to display a carrousel of all the different menus this includes:
Lifestyle Home - See Above

Professional Home - See above

Edit Profile - Allows you to change Ring volume, System Sounds Volume, Ring Tone and Ring Type

Time - Shows the World Time Feature (See above)

Agenda - Shows Full Agenda and Calendar

Weather - Displays Weather program See above

Contacts Carrousel - Shows a carrousel of your favourite contacts

SPB Contacts - Displays a full list of your contacts

Favourite Contacts - Allows you to choose your favourite contacts and displays a thumbnail of a picture you can choose from Facebook or you camera.

Call Log - Shows which calls you received, missed or made

SPB Menu - Allows you to access the Organizer, Internet Browser, Multimedia, Tools, Programs, Settings, Messaging and My Shortcuts

Launcher - Allows you to access Favourite Links and Recently Used programs

One problem I have with this program is that it makes the phone take double the time to start up and sometimes the menu changes are a bit jerky. This is mainly because i have a low range Windows Mobile device.

Other than those problems this program works as it's meant to.

To download this program you can go to the SPB website and it will cost you $29.95 which is £18.08 from today's exchange rate provided by the Microsoft sidebar converter. It takes about 10 minutes to install because it soft restarts a few times. It takes up just under 5MB and the download size is just under 7MB. As well as getting this great product you get SPB reward points which you can put towards other SPB products. In this program you get 6 Rewards points.
