A great application for Twitter and iPhone users like myself

After signing up to Twitter (the micro blogging website - see my earlier review for an explanation!) via my laptop, I was pleased to find that there was an application for my iPhone that I could use. This allows me to go on Twitter, on the go, wherever I am! This is useful to me as Twitter is banned at work (all the social networking sites are) so this application allows me the freedom of looking at Twitter on my lunch break.

It is easy to download almost instantly directly from your handset and costs 59p. It will take less than a minute to be in full working order on your phone.

I have used a number of Twitter compatable iPhone applications but this is by far the best. Tweetie allows you to log into your account simply by clicking the application on your iPhone. Once your details are stored you do not have to log on and off each time you use it which saves a lot of time.

Tweetie gives you most of the features as Twitter offers, meaning you can update your status, reply to tweets and send direct messages. You can also scroll through all the recent tweets and look at peoples profile pages. Of course there is also the feature of being able to follow or unfollow fellow members.

I would recommend this application because it gives you the freedom of Twitter on the go, without the issues that some of the other applications have (for example timing out and logging you out each time). It is also a big boredom breaker offering you the chance to keep in touch with friends or simply follow your favourite celebrities to see what they are getting up to.

Please note this review is about the iPhone application Tweetie, not Twitter itself. Please see my earlier review on Twitter which explains the concept.

      Thanks for reading!
