Creative Sound Blaster Live! 5.1 ... bought this sound card because I needed great sound quality and EAX High Definition Sound (for gaming), but what made my buy it was the price. Looking around at EAX sound cards they were all a lot more than I could afford at the time and this came in at around £25, and for this price you get 5.1 surround sound which makes DVD's and music sound so much clearer and fuller. Set up: As with most new components these days it comes with a "Quick Start" guide which is illustrated with somewhat clear diagrams, although it would save you some head scratching if you aren't a computer hardware whizz, to get someone who knows there way around the inside of a... Creative Soundblaster Audigy 2 Platinum 6.1 ... not buy Creative Soundcards. Please. As I write this my PC has just recovered from yet another spontaneous reboot caused by my egregious Audigy drivers. It took them months to support Win XP and when they did the drivers were rubbish. Their Technical support is run by a medium sized poodle called Doris. Well that's the only way to explain the way it operates. Did I say 'operates'? Silly me. These people just can't make soundcards. They have just managed to flood the market and get adopted. Like Microsoft.
