	Creative Sound Blaster Live! ... Soundblaster Live! I have had this card for sometime now, after winning it in a competition. I was going to buy one anyway though as I was after a new soundcard, the Soundblaster was a good recognised make. The version that I won was the Soundblaster Live Platinum - which is essentially the same product as the cheaper Soundblaster Live 1024. The difference lies in the front panel you get with the Platinum called the Live Drive. The Live Drive is something that will appeal to musicians, as it's used to plug external devices into the computer, such as Music keyboards, Electric guitars, and Proper headphones. 	Creative Soundblaster Live Value ... never of thought a soundcard could make so much difference. I had an onboard sound card hooked up to my hi-fi system for a year before I bought this card. The only reason we bought this is because my dad wanted to record his LP's to MP3 and then put them on CD and the onboard soundcard kept corrupting the sound. So I went down to a friend who is into his music and he had a Sb Live Value spare since he had upgraded to a £300 card for mixing etc. He kindly gave me it for nothing so I went home installed it, updated the drivers, hooked it up to my stereo and booted up. 	Audiowerk8 Surround Kit ... is my favourite product in the whole wide world, bar none. It is just the answer to all my prayers. I've been looking for a way into composing music in surround for sooooo long. I know those guys at Computer Music magazine think surround music is just a gimmick, which is probably why they don't ever talk about solutions, and why those of us who really want to try anyway have got to find out how by ourselves. There are more expensive ways in. If you have the Pulsar sound card (£899) then there is a plug-in surround mixer.
