Creative Soundblaster Live Value ... is a negative review, I have had a SoundBlaster Live in my system for too long and now it is gone. Forever. The software that comes from the card is mainly junk. LOTS of it, The drivers fought with the VIA chipset on the motherboard, it fought with the mouse causing zipper-noise if moved. It dictates is own simple conversion on all incoming audio which is hard-coded in the chipset. It contributed to ground loop noise when connecting a TV card with an electrical cable. The noise figures on the spec were not realised no matter how it was connected.
