Advantages: Convenience

Disadvantages: Price

I have been a regular customer at Mint Nail and Beauty Salons for around 12 months now, I have only had one type of treatment there, eyebrow wax, but they offer many different treatments which include:

- Manicures
- Nail art
- Pedicures
- Nail enhancements/extensions
- Nail sculptures
- Eyebrow shaping (waxing)
- Eyelash/Eyebrow tinting
- Make up (in selected stores)
- Facials
- Massages
- Tanning
- Hair removal including waxing, electrolysis and threading

As you can see, they offer an extensive range of treatments, which vary in price, a price list along with all the treatments can be found at:

Mint have 5 salons which are located in the following places:

Leeds (City Centre)
Leeds (White Rose)
Sheffield (Meadowhall)
Wakefield (City Centre)
Birmingham (Merry Hill Centre)

I have visited both the Leeds salons along with the Meadowhall salon and have found them all to be very clean, and the staff very friendly.

The salons are quite compact, and usually feature a curved nail bar where they have several stools and 'stations' for nail treatments and then area's away from the main part to do other treatments such as waxing, along with several treatment rooms. As I said above, the only treatment that I have had done is eyebrow waxing and they are always in one of the rooms or away from the main area so it is private.

One of the great things about Mint is that you can walk up and get an appointment there and then, although for busy times it is recommended that you book. I tend to go on a lunch hour so I am restricted with times so I tend to book, and the process is always smooth and the staff are courteous over the phone. When I have booked appointments, I am always seen on time.

The treatments are always to a high standard, and I always leave happy with the results. The eyebrow waxes are quick and relatively pain free, and they put plenty of soothing lotion on afterwards to reduce redness which is always welcome when you are going straight back to work.

I would say that the one downside to Mint is their prices. The eyebrow waxes cost £8 which is certainly on the high side, most other places I have been to charge less, but I still find myself going back to Mint mainly because they are far more convenient and I like the way they shape the brow. They do have offers on from time to time, normally around Christmas they have a 4 for the price of 3 promotion on the eye brow waxes and have packages where if you combine treatments you get a discount.

I am looking at trying out Mint for more and varied treatments in the run up to my wedding and if they offer the same great service as they do at the minute for simple things like an eye brow wax, I am sure I will come away happy.

Summary: Great if you are in a hurry.
