I had high expectations, but it was OK. (The Sanctuary)

Advantages: Room with fish and candles is good to relax. Disadvantages: Hardly any staff speak English. I had a gift voucher for a day at the Sanctuary. I had seen their products in Boots and had high expectations. When I got there hardly any of the staff could speak English and weren't that friendly. I saw the picture of the pool with the Swing and wanted to try it, but it's too high to reach from the water. I had a nice drink called an infusion that contained natural ingredients, but apart from that most of the drinks were the usual kind such as cola. There are two pools. One with the Swing where the room is quite relaxing with big chairs, low lighting and koy carp. There were a lot of candles. The spa had just opened after a fire. Half of the room is the relaxing part with the big chairs and you go down a few stairs to the small pool with the swing. There's a stairway to go up to the faster pased pool. You are given towels and a robe and can help yourself to more towels if you need them. You're given a plastic bag to keep your towel in. I didn't have time for treatments as I had spent so long shopping, as I don't go into London much. I suppose it was quite an expensive day just to go swimming, but I did enjoy it, although I think my expectations were a little high. If you have a treatment or anything to eat or drink it can be put onto the account so you can pay after. I don't suppose I could expect much more, for the centre of London, but I think I would prefer a spa in a country location. Summary: A good day out. |
