Advantages: Nearby golf course Disadvantages: Uncaring management I have never experienced such disinterest in a complaint made to a hotel. We stayed for four nights over the Easter weekend, during which we attended a tribute night. We spent a boring and annoying three and a half hours eating the three course meal included in the ticket price, with inaudable music playing in the background of a much louder noise level from the numerous hen parties who also attended. Seconds before the tribute band took to the stage we were advised that a different group would be performing; the hen parties rushed to the stage and we couldn't see anything. We could, however, hear a tuneless group. Our complaints have fallen on deaf ears, as have the complaints of others - there were 30 people at reception wishing to add their names to the complaint list. A bit much for £160 - not even a sorry for ruining my husband's birthday, refusing even to put a candle in his pudding, on the grounds of fire safety. Puzzling then that numerous other tables had candle laden desserts and birthday cakes carried to their tables. I have just been told that a letter "resolving the issue" has been sent to me, which apparently says "sorry, but no compensation". Hopeless! Summary: An expensive but truly awful night's entertainment |
