I needed some speakers for my PC, i had bought a decent sound card so i needed some decent speakers to plug into it. These looked a little boxy but the specs were the best at the time for the price I paid for them.
The sound on these speakers is great, although the bass needs toning down a bit unless you want to annoy your ... neighbors. I have a few tracks that I tested these out on and the treble seemed bang on although the voice was a bit dull, but that was soon fixed, messing with the settings on the remote. Talking of the remote, you do not normally get individual volumes but in this case you have volume adjustments for the sub-woofer, the treble, the center speaker, the rear speakers and also an overall volume. Once these are set right, i would hide the remote somewhere so nobody can mess these up.
Overall, If you don't mind the looks, these speakers are worth the money, the sound is great once it is set up, and you can then control the volume through the PC and forget about the speakers. Don't forget to couple this with a decent sound card or you would be wasting money running these through your on-board sound card. Read the complete review |

Two years on and still going! I picked these up for forty pounds and could not be happier. At first I thought they would work on my TV, foolishly! Make sure your PC is compatible before buying is my advice. This means checking your sound card.
The bass on this set of speakers is phenomenal, you can hear my music from quite a ... distance away so be sure to be on good terms with the neighbours.
As surround sound speakers go this is a bargain and I couldn't be happier.
They are reliable, loud, crisp and they send a shiver down your spine when you watch war films.
It's very easy to set them up and the cable remote helps to adjust settings easily.
I honestly don't have any problems with these and can recommend them to everyone! Great for parties, however make sure to turn them down if you want to chat! Read the complete review |

If you want an affordable surround sound system for a computer, this isn't a bad option. Just do not think that you will be getting a highly sophisticated system that you can use for home cinema.
The beauty of this system, is that everything is both small and cheap. Meaning if your computer is in a small space: you can easily have a ... decent surround sound experience. It's made clear that they are only for use over a small area as the rear speaker cables are very short. But then, it's very clear these are not a home cinema speakers.
For what they are, however, Creative have made a nice set of speakers. There's plenty of volume - rarely does they distort sound, even at full volume. The bass levels are excellent and easily adjustable using the dial built into a small cabled remote. Cabled?! Well thats because you can plug another audio source into it. But yes, it is a bit irritating having another unnecessary cable.
As a budget system your only adjustment options are volume and bass. The rest is pre-set. Which for a budget system is acceptable Read the complete review |
