Advantages: Fantastic sound, feature rich, ease of use

Disadvantages: A bit heavy, so be sure to place on a solid surface.

I have been working in the audio industry for around seven years now and have been lucky enough to try out various monitors. I first tested these monitors at a local studio while testing a Korg Triton, i used these monitors in conjuction with the the Alesis IO2 USB audio interface.

My first impression of these monitors was somewhat unimpressive, the size is small, they arent the most attractive monitors in the world, but when these were powerd up and i started to put them through my usual stress test the quality of build shone through, these speakers are a joy to work with, the balence of these speakers in fantastic with clear bass and crisp high's balenced by a sweet mid range.

These speakers are small but pack a punch, the volume is LOUD when you push it, but you really dont need to. I have since purchased a pair and am using them in my home studio, they utilise balenced and unbalenced XLR and 1/4 jack inputs.

These for the price are hard to beat, if you need a pair of good monitors, you will be hard pressed to find a pair better than this in this price range.

Summary: A great product from Alesis, you wont find a better pair in this price range.
