This theatre system is just fantastic and I have no biffs or bones about this product, after so many years of let down on the home cinema systems I have finally bought one that really gives the sound I have craved for all this time. Setting up of these bad boys is simple with very little thought needed, with an understandable manual and DVD guiding you to the way on how to set up this Bose speakers you just can't go wrong. Straight from ripping the equipment from the box you could see the quality in this product even the packaging seemed to have a quality about it First out comes the speakers which has a good solid feel about them any other system I had bought previously had very light and very plastic feel to them these were heavy although plastic just oozed of quality. I have lost the name of the next component which came out the box but this piece acts as a switch for your TV, DVD, BLUE RAY, AMP, a diverter switch which switches over to your preferred piece of equipment. The Sub woofer comes out the box and is a sheer monster of a thing, it is large and very heavy and once again quality is evident, I have never had a sub woofer that has been so solid, this sub woofer is a tad on the big side and certainly noticeable in room. Once all set up the first thing I noticed was that the area around the TV was far less cluttered than before due to loosing 3 other speakers from previous cinema system. Was time to sit back and have a listen to the sound and the sound from the off was unbelievable, I was so impressed that these speakers were capable of even producing such sound , instantly was a vast improvement to the Sony dav system we were previously using All in all the system is built to a high standard indeed and only downside you shall probably find is the size of the sub woofer which really is large, may be best to get dimensions of the sub woofer first and see where you could place it, I would also add that although the speakers are brilliant you may not be a fan of the style of the product but if you want style over function then you will need deeper pockets. This system cost us £400 from Comet and was more expensive than we had ever paid for this type of product, to get something this good was well worth the money I highly recommend this
The Bose Cinemate Digital Home Theater speaker system is a simple speaker system that produces outstanding sound. The system comprises of 2 front speakers and a sub woofer and connects to either your tv, dvd player, satellite tv system, etc with just 1 lead. I first heard the power of the Bose in one of their stores in Chester and was quite literally blown away - for such small speakers they produce outstanding sound; especially now when coupled with the crispest hd picture. The Cinemate system is the cheapest system Bose produces but this does not mean it lacks quality; the product normally retails for around £350.00 but you can find savings of up to £150.00 in the main sales. To setup the system you get a free dvd which goes through the process of where to position each speaker to get the maximum output making your enjoyment that much better.
The Bose Cinemate was my first personal experience of cinema. Having experienced a demo in a John Lewis department store I was lucky enough to pick it up as part of their clearance sale for £200. I had no idea that speakers so small could make such a sound and more surpisingly how just two speakers could provide such a convincing surround sound sensation. The system is incredibly minimal, comprising of just two front speakers, a subwoofer, remote and remote sensor which doubles as the audio input as the system has no separate amplifier. The fact that the system only has one audio input, a single red and white phono will prove a blessing to some but a massive, massive hindrance for home cinema perfectionists. For me, with space at a premium, i'm happy to run all my sound cables into my tv and channel them all out one single audio out on the set. This is a very hyandy option as whatever is playing, is playing through my Bose. Home cinema enthusiasts will probably not be impressed with this compromise as sound quality from the system is directly influenced by the quality of the audio output on your tv. The system just looks and feels the highest quality. The speakers are solid and weighty and the rather large sub shares the weight and build quality with all the speakers and IR receiver wired to it. The speaker cables and rather grand remote also feel of the highest quality. For someone who wants an option that takes care of music, tv and movies without taking over the living room with wires you can't go wrong with this. Brilliant, brilliant stuff.
The Bose CineMate digital home theater speaker system makes it easy to enjoy the power of a home theater experience using your TV and video components, like a DVD player or VCR. There's no bulky equipment, complicated wiring or confusing installation. And there are no center or rear speakers. Just two front speakers and a hideaway Acoustimass module bring movies and music to life with four quick connections. A universal infrared remote controls your system and most devices attached to your television.
