The "B" revisions alone include changing from silk dome tweeters to aluminium dome and increasing the bracing within the cabinet to similar style as in the BP2000 series. Instead of one small brace in the middle of the speaker between the sides as in the BP8B, these have a whole panel between the middles of the sides that runs all the way from the top to about halfway down the speaker. These are the best floor standing speakers I have ever owned. I bought them about a year ago for £200 for the pair second hand but they were only about 3 years old when I got them so still under the 5 year warranty- not that I expect Definitive to honour it to second hand buyers! They originally retailed for around £1200 for the pair in the UK as these are imported from the USA. I got them as an upgrade from their smaller counterparts, the BP8B. SOUND QUALITY: These speakers never fail to impress me. The bass is deep and powerful while the treble is clear and blends in extremely well. Listening to music will have you lost in a soundscape ...
