Epson don't just make good printers... they make good speakers too

Speakers are great, especially if you has a laptop that has a couple of speakers that are about as loud as a gnats fart, so plugging in an external set of speakers is a must really. And these speakers are as good as any if you're in a small area as these are small speakers. They are only 230mm by 155mm by 140mm, and weighing in at no more than a bag of sugar, and they offer 30 watts in total, (15 per speaker), which is remarkable since they are so small, (ish).

The speakers are almost identical, although one of them has the controls and has a built in amplifier/tweeter/woofer, which is how you get the sound quality from within the speakers. This speaker has the three button, knob controls on it, which control the quality from them.
These controls are simple, as I said, there are three buttons, the bass, the treble and the on/off/volume.
There is also an output socket which is ideal for connecting these speakers to others, which offers a more wider ranging scope for your music. I did connect these to another set of speakers of similar style and then spread the six speakers around the rooms, and beyond, and believe me, the sound quality through all the speakers was great. I did take them all apart again as the other speakers are for other devices, which belong to other people.

Setting them up is simply a matter of using the attached USB connector to click up to your PC then slot in the 3.5mm headphone Jack, switch the speaker on, whack up the volume and away you go.

You do have to plug this in to get the power they need to work. You can either use the mains, buying a special plug in order to do so, one with a USB slot in it, or you can simply plug this into the computer you with the speaker.

These claim to be energy efficient??? which for speakers has to be a first. All this means is that they switch themselves off if no music is played through them for a while. Although I have not tested that as I am either using them or I am not? There's no real time I've left them on without something coming through them.

And the cost of these lovely little speakers that will give your PC that wanted boost of music quality. These are selling for about £50 - £70, roughly. It may sound a little steep but if you like to listen to your tracks through quality speakers but have not got the room for a couple of rave type monsters then these are well worth looking at.
