A cute and very affordable speaker, not for techies

This speaker was purchased as a cute little birthday present for a young girl who, like most young girls now, already had her first iPhone. For £10 you can't argue with a themed speaker, but I feel this product could have delivered a lot more than it did and for that I'm giving it 3 stars.

Look - it looks great and has kept it's colour. Everyone loves pandas and they are always reminded of that when this speaker gets brought out on holidays.

Reliability - so far no problems I have heard of after a few months apart from a slight crackling when plugging in a phone which may be due to wear and tear on the 3.5mm jack cable which sadly isn't replaceable. The sound quality hasn't changed.

Sound - the speaker sounds clear enough and has old treble and more bass than one would expect from a novelty speaker, however still much lower than I would want. The sound can be tinny at times but what do you expect for the price.

Practicality - it's is quick to charge and holds it's charge surprisingly well, lasting so long I forget it need recharging however it is only used intermittently. It's small size is also great for travelling and it is also nice to have music on the go.

All in all it is not a speaker I would purchase for myself, but it has made a friend very happy and provided just what you would expect, albeit a bit cheap and lacking sound quality (which clearly wasn't the designers intention)

Good for a tight budget. But would invest in a better one.

If you are on a budget and looking for a cheap speaker for your phone and etcetera then this mini panda speaker would be good for you, as long as you do not mind losing a bit of quality. The speaker itself is nice and compact, will not break easy like some others I have had. Bought this a as a temporary replacement for my wireless Bluetooth speaker. Slightly disappointed but hey, for £10 it was worth a go. Won''''t be hanging on to this this for too long, better suited for a teenager who listens to a lot of music or as a gift. Would highly recommend saving up for a higher quality speaker with more power and appeal unless it''''s only something you will be using occasionally. I would rate it at 3 stars for it''''s size and simplicity but it''''s just not strong enough to be something I would use regularly.
