Advantages: Great sound, looks stylish, affordable
Disadvantages: Gets dirty easily!
**Introduction**
I bought this docking station not long after I got my first Ipod Nano as I had so many great songs on them which I couldn't listen to apart from using my ear phones so I took the plunge and bought this docking station from Argos. I had little idea about electronics and what would make a good docking station so I literally went with the first one I found and ordered it and I haven't been disappointed with my slap dash decision.
**What is it?**
The Logic 3istation is a portable speaker for Ipods namely, iPod photo, iPod mini, iPod (3G), iPod (4G), iPod nano, iPod with video (5G). As well as allowing you to replay your favourite tracks out loud again and again it can sync your Ipod through its USB device and recharge your IPod as it is doing so which is fab!
**What does it look like?**
First of all it is 16cm x 3cm x 11.5cm so it is quite compact and easily fits on my dressing table making for easy listening. It is patent black which looks slick but if you do touch it this leaves sticky finger marks and gathers dust really quickly! The station has a tripod type style to it, it has 2 rectangular speakers at either side of a docking port in which you insert your music playing device. It also has a speaker at the back which you can choose to be lying flat or upright against the back of your device. On the front of the istation are 3 buttons an 'on/off' button, a volume up button, a volume down button and a 3D button which changes the usual blue lighting to red/orange and you will hear more bass sounds if you opt for 3D.
**Features**
You can either use the mains adapter to plug the istation in or batteries (4xAA batteries) meaning that it can be easily taken to different places even if it's just different rooms in the house. The istation also comes with a thin, sleek remote control which you can use to switch your istation on and off, alter the volume or switch song-lazy but so handy! The istation is so easy to use all you need to do is plug it in, connect your Ipod and away you go it really couldn't be any simpler! The speaker watts is 12v and I think the speaker quality and volume is great whether your quietly chilling listening to Adele or having a wild party the speakers will continually blast (or whisper, whichever you prefer) your favourite tracks to you.
**Availability and Cost**
As previously stated I purchased my istation from Argos this was several months ago and was priced at £40.00 as docking stations have become increasingly popular they have drastically decreased in price and I have now spotted this same istation on Amazon for £16.65 (June, 2011). I still think that £40.00 is reasonable for the quality and ease of use and for under £20.00 you really would be getting a bargain!
