Logitech LS11

My partner and his friends are DJ's....apparantly. My definition of their so called ''DJing'' is them sitting around MY laptop during the football, darts, snooker etc. and mixing their own tracks! I was on the fence about what I was more sick of hearing, their creations or their constant moaning about how crackly my laptop speakers made their music!... The CHEEK! After a while of thinking it over, I realised that no matter what, there was not a chance that I was going to stop them playing it but I could stop the constant drone of their moaning, so off I popped to my local Argos store to buy a decent but fairly priced pair of speakers (no way was I going to pay a fortune for something that was going to destroy my hearing and my sanity!).

Taking a quick flick through the in store catalogue my eyes settled on a set but even though they were cheap, they didn't look too easy on the eye. A further glance down the page brought me to these Logitech LS11 speakers for just under £18.00. Rather nice, so off I went and purchaced them.

Taking them home, I couldn't get near them for a good few hours as I was pounced on nearly as soon as I walked through the door to see what I had bought, as soon as my partner seen the box, he scrambled to get to it, took it and that was the last I seen of him or the speakers until later that night! (I still heard them though - amplified!!).

When I did finally get to them, my first impressions were that even though they were a bargain price, this was not reflected in the quality. The speakers themselves looked rather sleek and shiny, black with a silver metal frame surrounding them which also formed the base. On the left speaker was the Logitech Logo and situated on the right speaker, is the volume control button and headphone jack, which shows that they have evolved with the times as some speakers that actually allowed you to perform this, used to house it at the back which was rather a pain, this is much handier.

The speakers are easy to assemble, even though I didn't personally see them for dust during this phase, the box was left lying around for me to dispose of so I was able to get a quick peek at the instructions. Basically, two wires coming from one of the speakers, one into the computer, one into the other speaker and away you go!!!

As far as sound performance goes, I am not the best at explaining but I will give it a go in my terms!!!.... Loud, Crisp and Clear! (Sorry!).

Overall for the price that you pay for them, they are well worth a shot, I know that they must be decent because even I can understand some of the lyrics coming from them, trust me that is an art when you have to listen to what I have to. Even with the music coming from them at full blast for 99% of the time, I have never noticed any fading, crackling, loss of volume or any other signs of problems,

These speakers can be bought from Argos for around £18.00 or even better, on amazon.co.uk within the vacinity of £10.00!!! Even better!
