I had to adjust the EQ settings on my media player because the bass was overwhelming. Once adjusted, the high, middle and low frequencies reproduced nicely. They also crank very loud without distortion. For gaming, if you prefer 2.1 over 5.1, they are the best. The floor rumbles and my heart can feel even those minute bass.
