Logitech Z906 (5.1 Surround Sound System)

Since the recession, like many people I have had to make many cut backs and have been a lot more careful with how much money I spend and what it goes on! Which is why it took a lot of if's and maybe's before I parted with my hard earned money for the Logitech surround system.

I had been after a surround kit for a while purely just to listen to music at a decent volume downstairs and to improve the film experience and although having searched the web and looking around local electrical outlets I hadn't quite come across something like the Z906 package!

It was only after going to a party at a friends house one night I was curious to what speakers where producing such a crisp sound with such a high quality of bass.. He then showed me these "small" surround speakers.. I really just couldn't get over the sound that was been produced from such small units!!!

Following this I decided I had searched long enough and went and purchased my own set online from amazon. The initial shocker was the price tag coming in at just short of £300! And then the weight of the box on delivery, again knowing that the speakers weren't very big and I hadn't anticipated the package to be just short of 20kg!

Once removed from packaging the setup was a 5minute process, simply a case of positioning the 5 satellites around the room and the sub central, all cables, power leads and even batteries for the remote were included.

The system operates as 5.1 sound which clearly devides the output across 5 monitoring speakers and bass is produced through the single sub-woofer providing an impressive 500 Watts output!
...which I must add delivers a very nice touch to those creepy moments in the latest horror!

One thing I really love about the unit its the versatility, how you can connect your laptop, I-phone, Blackberry, I-Pod, XBox, DVD Player, TV, and practically anything which delivers audio via a Phono, Mini-Jack (RCA). The unit also features a digital coaxial line for optimal high definition quality.

Overall sound quality can not be compared in my view, I am a person who really likes loud volumes and can really notice the difference between a poor and good output. Even when operated towards the maximum volume there is no distortion or lack in quality.

I would really recommend the purchase of this system if you are willing to spend that bit extra for the overall quality.
