Advantages: Great Sound, Very Involving

These are speakers that fit nicely into the near budget hi fi separates world, therefore although budget are not cheap (£160), but they have a very nice sound. They are designed to be mounted on a stand (and don't try even thinking of putting them on a shelf as they will be less than 50% effective). They are two-way speakers with a mid/bass driver and a soft dome tweeter. This to me, being new to the world of hi-fi separates, seemed a bit of an imbalance as I thought that when heavy bass kicked in that the mid-range would disappear but could I be more wrong. The sound is great and all the ranges link in well with each other. Thanks to the bass reflex design (front ported) the bass is solid and very powerful (so make sure the amp is not set too high on the bass) and the higher ranges are just as good.

All in all a great buy (and What hi-fi agree with a 5 star rating) and if you look at www.qed-uk.com the price is very attractive (I got mine from there 8 months ago and they were delivered 2 days later direct from Mission).

One thing to note though, the tweeter is set below the mid/bass driver for the 700 range so slightly higher stands may be required.
