These speakers provide an ideal solution for somebody wanting high quality sound whilst not paying extortionate amounts of money for it. These are usually priced at £400 but i managed to pick them up for £350 after looking around for a bit. They are floor-based speakers and are quite large and come in three colours. The ones shown are cherry vinyl but these also come in black and walnut which i purchased. It deals very well with both high pitch vocals as well as low bass sound with neither dominating the other. With the vocals, the stereo speakers give a crisp, pleasant sound with no high pitched vibrations making it painful to listen too. The bass produced is good and not overpowering but if you're a real audiophile then obviously it's worthwhile getting a sub-woofer if you can afford it. I like to listen to classical music through them and you can hear every instrument perfectly clear without any distortion or anything being more prominent than another. As an aside it is worth spending sometime placing them in the right position as you gain a nice balance between the two sounds coming from either speaker. The cables provided with them can stretch a fair way so can be manoeuvred to an ideal spot for enjoying the music.
They are highly reliable and responsive,with the sound quality not deteriorating over the time i have had them (4 years) and have felt the were a real bargain for the quality of sound they produce. Of course Monitor Audio have a good reputation for quality and these speakers are no exception to the high standards you can expect from the company.
