I've had my pair of Tannoy M1s for over ten years now and they've served me very well. The sound quality is good, and it gives a nice warm sound that is good for most genres of music. It has a good low end, which due to my partner not understanding the concept of a 'sound picture' can sometimes sound quite boomy, and the high end is quite pleasing as well. It's within the mid range it performs best, providing adequate separation of sounds.

The reliability is second to none. I have abused these thoroughly at Uni and my former years. They have moved around about 10 times, and still perform the same as when I bought them. In fact, it's even better now that, in my wisdom, I listen to them a little quieter.

To sum up, they are fantastic speakers which have performed like a workhorse for over a decade.
