Having only previously owned large speakers that you have to plug into the mains, I wanted to find some that were small enough to pop in my bag and take with me whenever I went out with friends or went on holiday. A friend of mine had bought these recently and recommended them to me, telling me that they were everything that I had said I wanted. It was a tough decision between trusting my friend and buying these or buying some x mini speakers, reluctantly I went with the trusting option and bought one of these from Amazon.

Firstly, unlike the picture shown above, you only get one speaker in a pack. Unless of course this was just the kind that I bought, maybe there is a twin speaker pack available? Although I guess if you had two it would create a difficult situation trying to plug them both in.. :p

The speaker was round in shape, kind of like a widened yo-yo. It is quite simple in design, having only black and silver colouring, and a very simple, easy to access battery compartment. It takes three AAA batteries which are not included, so remember to stock up on these, or buy yourself some rechargeable ones to save money!

These speakers are definitely small enough to carry around at all times, as it will easily fit in the palm of my hand and only weighs 101 grams. It comes with a carry strap too so that you can wrap it around your wrist, making sure your speaker doesn't get lost or forgotten! Very handy!

The input cable which you plug into your mp3 player/phone/computer is very easily accessible, yet is hidden in the side of the speaker when not in use so that it doesn't get broken. To use, simply plug it into your audio source and turn them on, press play and voila! Great sound from tiny a speaker. There is no volume control on the speakers themselves but I find this is better as you only need to control it from the mp3 player then, instead of turning it all the way up on one thing and then having to adjust the other too! The speaker gave off quite a high quality sound for their size, and even at their loudest the sound was perfectly clear and easy to listen to, no static noise or crackling!

I absolutely adore my speaker and would definitely recommend getting one! Although I have heard excellent reviews of the x mini speakers that I was originally going to buy, these are much cheaper and I am very pleased with the product.
