      Great stuff!

I hate plain food! I'm someone who gets bored easily with bland and so when I spotted this in Asda costing 80p per container I thought it really did sound interesting and I could envisage myself sprinkling it over meats and potato wedges and things like that really so purchased it.

      The Packaging:

108g plastic cylinder container with a shaker style lid (holes in it). On the front of the container there is a photograph of some food with this sprinkled all over it and I am told that it is Asda Cajun Seasoning 'With garlic, cumin, chilli and thyme'. On the back of the container other information listed includes ingredients being given and contact details for Asda. It's a nice enough looking container and easy to use it is.

      The Seasoning Itself:

Well the seasoning is a powder that is a dark orange colour and fine and light. It is a mix of herbs/ingredients which are Ground Garlic , Brown Sugar , Salt , Ground Ginger , Ground Cumin , Lemon Peel , Ground Allspice , Ground Black Pepper , Chilli Powder , Ground Cardamon , Thyme , Oregano. It has a spicy aroma to it with a natural sweetness.

With this you can pretty much season anything you want to. Add it over meats, potatoes when cooking them or add it to already cooked food. It really is very versatile indeed. Taste wise well this is really well blended. It has a natural sweetness to it that isn't too overpowering and you can really taste thyme and ginger along with a slight taste of like a roasted garlic flavour and this does have a slight kick with the chilli used in it though it isn't blow your brains out hot or anything like that.

I have used this over meats in the oven and my favourite way of using this is on potato wedges, used in the cooking process. The seasoning gives a nice colour to food, loses it's powdery look and taste when cooked through and basically adds a twist of flavours.

Nice seasoning and at a 80p a container I find this really good value for money as it lasts absolutely ages!

      Only available in Asda stores.
