Advantages: Fluffy inside and nice and crispy outside; Nice tasting

Disadvantages: None

I sometimes cook Sunday dinner for my family but I'm quite a novice cook so am not very good at getting everything cooked all at the same time yet even though I can usually get all the seperate things cooked nice it's just that some of the things might be cold by the time the rest of the meal is done!

Last week I brought Aunt Bessies roast potatoes because I wanted everything to be just right and I knew I'd be able to get my timings right with such straight forward cooking instructions.

They are proper nice and even though you can tell they're not home made they're still dead tasty and are lovely and fluffy inside. Before you cook them they feel dead greasy on your fingers and while they are cooking loads of fat comes out of them and they sort of roast in it because the thin coating goes wickedly crispy but the middle goes dead soft and when you cut them in half and let them soak in the gravy they are even more yummy.

They look nice as well and are golden brown and all different sized and shape potatoes are in the bag so they don't look too much alike because then they just look too mass produced and not very good on the dinner. I had some of Tesco own brand roasters when I cooked last time and they were quite nice but looked proper crap because they were all the same size round potatos and looked proper basic and naff on the plate.

These Aunt Bessies ones have got to be the best frozen roast potatoes and even Delia Smith agrees because she's put her CHEAT label on the bag but I bet she don't use them because her timings should be better than mine for proper roasters! FOr me though I think they're wicked, they're easy to cook and taste delish. They taste like proper potato and not the manky synthetic flavour that a lot of frozen roasters have got and I love how fluffy the potato is inside and the crispness of the outside. They have got a nice clean potato flavour and I like that because even though I love home made roasters I think they can taste a bit dirty because the meat thickens the oil up and the potatoes soak it up.

I think they're wicked and I asked everyone what they thought of them and they all thought the spuds were nice but my mum said they tasted a bit greasy to her and I reckon they did a bit too but it was a nice sort of greasiness that went lovely with the gravy and made them taste like a proper treat.
