Advantages: Cook from frozen, No peeling!

Disadvantages: None at all

When we fancy a roast dinner, but don't feel like cooking from scratch, we always give our trusted Aunt Bessie a call. This clever lady has produced a full range of cook from frozen foods, which are all very well priced!

Using her foods, we can be sat at the table within 45 minutes, the potatoes are no exception, just throw them in the oven, and they come out looking not much different from home made.

These are perfect for people like us, we can come in from work, have a dig in the freezer and find these, no peeling, chopping or washing involved, straight from freezer to the oven, simple as that!

We hate making roasts from scratch, we had a nice new kitchen fitted when we bought the house, and intend to keep the oven sparkling, making fresh roasts makes a hell of a mess, where as these just seem to cook dry, no oil needed! Bonus!

Opening the packet, you find exactly what you expect, lots of frozen potatoes, the packet says 30 minutes cooking time, we cook with gas, and find leaving them in around 45 minutes, you get a lot crunchier coating, with a fluffy centre. The packet says turn once during cooking, we usually turn 4-5 times or they tend to stick to the roasting tin, this could be because we have cheap tins though!

They taste lovely, and with the batter like coating, they are always crunch too, a real treat even though it is a cheat.

Aunt Bessie isn't greedy when it comes to selling her food, a pack of these roast's will set you back around £1.45, and sometimes on offer for £1, i think thats a bargain!

A little tip, i eat a lot of salads, and find eating these roast potatoes cold the next day is excellent, just chop them up and mix them in! Next time you are using them, chuck a few extras in and give it a go, let me know what you think.

To sum up, these are well worth buying. Many thanks Aunty Bess, keep up the hard work!
