There's always one bean or pasta that you just cannot stomach that the diet suggest you need to add to your daily intake of proteins.
PUY LENTILS, whether they are used in our meals wet or dry, hot or cold these are not really ones I have not taken to.
The first thing you need to do but not absolutely essential is wash these through as they can contain debris! Only leaves and twigs and things!
For me, it helped to soak them for 2-3 hours and softened them up. Any longer and they tend to go to mush or can do whilst cooking which will ruin the dish.
These are to add to soups or salads if a soup then you need to add them last thing as they tend to mulch together and taste bland.
For me it didn't make the soup taste any better or fill me up as they tasted either too raw or too soft, it's very easy to spoil these and after cooking from scratch, although it might take too long cook like this, to spoil it in an instant is!
When I've added these to salads they have been okay but they don't add anything. The only reason I stick to using these due to the high protein and they are one of the, supposed five a day, while you're dieting it's vital to maintain all the health benefits you can too help your immune system. The things we do for health! :)
