Curly Fries are lovely. As long as they are cooked just right. Not to crispy so that they nearly break your Teeth, and a little bit better cooked than a greasy mush.
We are not in Morrisons that odten. Our only "local" branch s about 5 miles away, so we don't have much need to venture to the town that it's in, but when we are up that way then we will have a nose in, as I like most of their stuff - especially their Bread and Cakes selection.
These were in the freezer section and cost me £1.19 for the 600g bag.
The packaging was alright. It was a plastic bag which teared easy enough. Not the most eye catching bag with the beige and yellow colouring and the obligatory picture of the food on the front.
You can either Oven cook these in a 200oc oven for about 18-20 minutes, or deepfry them, which makes them cook pretty quick. I find that these type of Chips keep the grease in when you Deepfry them, and even when over cooked, they have a slight greasy tinge to them, but not much. For this reason I prefer to ovencook.
I would say that this size of bag gave us 3 generous sized portions, which is not bad for the money.
There was a good amount of spiral shaped Fries along with the half moon shaped ones as well. I do prefer a nice Curly Fry, as they just taste so nice and fluffy inside, and also with the potato all coiled up it's like it tastes softer and fresher, if that makes sense for a frozen product.
The Fries seem to have a slight coating on them which is a bit southern tasting. The outside of the Fries are nice, crisp and golden, and it is only a light dusting of the coating, but a nice subtle taste of this. I just gave them a sprinkling of Salt and had a blob of Mayo on the side to dip in.
On the back of the pack it states that these have 325 calories and 16.6g of fat per 125g.
These were nice Curly Fries, and although I find that most things like these taste the same, I would say these ones taste a bit better than Tesco's ones,as there seemed to be more whole Chips in this bag, and that's what I like!
