“ Brand: Sainsbury's / Type: Garlic „
I don't very often get to eat garlic, so I tend to buy the cheapest going and it keeps in the fridge for ages.
This particular garlic costs 39p for 2 average sized bulbs, they come in a netting, which I find quite handy as it keeps all the skin in place and it doesn't go all over the fridge.
I am no garlic connoisseur, I don't know about different varieties or anything, or how to spot a good bulb from a bad bulb, but I find this garlic perfect for what I use it for, and that is what counts for me.
I know it isn't organic, which a lot of people might sniff at, but I personally don't mind too much, as I find organic produce in the supermarkets is very overpriced, and not great quality.
I have found that this garlic lasts a good few months in our house, but that is because I don't use it very often, but I imagine it would still last quite a while in the average household, and for 39p for 2 bulbs, it can't be a bad purchase.
I have found no difference in taste, quality etc between this and other bulbs of garlic that can be purchased loose, and this certainly ticks all the boxes for me. I use this mainly to make garlic butter or sneak it in the occasional chilli or pasta sauce, it crushes well, and tastes great. A winner for me, especially at that price.
