Jim Beam is one of the few alcoholic beverages that I consistently go back to again and again. As far as bourbon whiskeys go, for its price it is brilliant. Created in 1795 it is still going strong today and it is no real surprise. From when you first open the bottle the smell tantalizes you, its colour a nice golden colour. In the bottle is is slightly deceptive looking much lighter than it becomes when you pour it into a glass. Once poured into a glass it works well as both a mixer and a straight Whiskey to be enjoyed on ice or in it's raw form. I've got a new best friend, his name's Jim and he's everything I've ever wanted in a man. He's unbelievably rich, has the ability to soothe my brow when I'm feeling rough and is decidedly mellow and laid back. 'I never was down with James Dean, but I be hangin tough with my man Jim Beam.' Jim beam is a good rock 'n' roll drink, but its not John Daniels. Unfortunately, thats the bottom line. Jim B is a great drink, and I am fond of it ,don't get me wrong. Its got a nice strong flavour, its smooth, and its better than a lot of other spirits out there. Like John, Jim B is great to sip, great to shoot, and its passable as a mixer.
