Advantages: Tastes lovely.
Disadvantages: ?
Smirnoff is the vodka for me every time and I will happily drink it with many different mixers but I recently stumbled upon a Smirnoff vodka with a difference. Hubby and I were in Wales and hubby went to the shop for a bottle of vodka for me and not having his glasses with him came back with a bottle of Smirnoff raspberry twist.
I have to admit the bottles are very similar in appearance and as it happens I was very glad he had made the mistake. This is basically normal everyday Smirnoff vodka but with a hint of raspberry flavouring, I had a few of these with lemonade and they were excellent.
I have never seen this here in Scotland but I made sure I brought a bottle home with me along with the half a bottle I had left. It was slightly more expensive than the normal Smirnoff, we paid £13.49 for a 70cl bottle but it was well worth it.
The hint of raspberry is enough to give the vodka a lovely fruity taste that when drank with lemonade or soda water is very nice indeed. I don't think you could have this particular vodka with coke or IRN-BRU as they would just disguise the raspberry taste.
If you can locate a bottle of this vodka then I urge you to try it as it is great for a change and a very refreshing drink. I can imagine myself sipping these in a sunny climate somewhere, here`s hoping they have a bottle or two of this in Benalmadena next June when I arrive!!
