the difference is in the taste!
Member Name: munchkin-bitch
Advantages: cleaner crisper fresher taste, no funny aftertastes-better quality alcohol
Disadvantages: expensive compared to cheaper alternatives
I am the sort of person that doesnt really like the taste of most alcohol-if it tastes strong, i wont like it. i certainly cant stand neat or drinks on the rocks, it has to be disguised for me to drink it, for example in a cocktail, or alcopops-somethin i never did grow out of from my teenage years. For a long time i went off of vodka-it used to be my drink of choice when i was at college, with coke, until i over indulged one night and it put me off-i now cannot stand even the smell of vodka and coke, as it reminds me of that night-before then, i used to drink it regularly, as i thought that i couldnt really taste the alcohol. i'm not really a big drinker, having had 3 children in the last four years there hasn't really been an opportunity for it. however, the few times i have had a drink, and now, after the birth of my son at the beginning of this year, i have to say that my drink of choice is vodka again-but only with red bull! i find that it has to be smirnoff vodka-admittedly i am a bit of a brand snob, but do try cheaper alternatives at times. this is something that is a treat for me, so i feel that if i dont really enjoy the cheaper vodkas that leave a strange aftertaste, not the clean crisp taste you get from smirnoff then i should get the one i like, otherwise i wouldnt end up drinking it if i wasnt very keen on it.
Summary: if you're not drinking purely to get drunk, but to enjoy the drink itself, go for smirnoff
