Advantages: Looks great, Comfortable
Disadvantages: Sole a little thin?
I'm generally not a person who goes around buying designer clothes just for the label, and when it comes to buying trainers, I usually go for the style before I notice the make.
That said, I really like Adidas 'Classics', and in particular, the variant Adidas 'Superstars' which are shown in the picture.
The trainers are incredibly comfy and cushioned inside - normally when I buy shoes, I get some soreness somewhere for the first week, but these are always pain free! The front has a 'shell toe', which I like the look of, and as a whole, the trainers look good in combination with both jeans and shorts.
Costing around £40-£60, the trainers aren't cheap, but they're not extortionate either. I think the lower end of that price range is a fair amount to pay, considering the comfort and style on offer.
I know they are not specifically designed for it, but I have been jogging, played squash and visited the gym in these trainers, and been comfortable throughout. They are extremely versatile for many sports as well as being a casual 'going-out' shoe.
On the downside, they do wear through underneath fairly quickly - although I am talking about four to five months after buying. I've got a pair which look fairly new, but the sole is a bit holy. I'm, currently doing my best to patch them up with a bit of sealant-type-stuff which i've found - but i'll probably get wet feet next time I go out! Time for some new ones me-thinks.
Adidas Classics, specifically Superstars, are great trainers, and my current favourites. Due to the versatility, price, and style, I'll definitely be buying some more soon.
Summary: Awesome Trainers
