Aggresive skating is like rollerblading but insted of going backwards and forwards you can do a series of hard and technical tricks. Some of the main types of tricks are grinds, grabs, airs, spins and flips there are many different tricks for each of these catagories and somtimes you can even combine two or more of the above catagories. Skating is mostley about the fun and danger of it but there is also many competitions at local and international levels so head down to your local skatepark now and get practising. ... Aggressive inline skating is wicked. It is a must for anyone with a taste for extreme sports and adrenaline rushes. It is simple to start off - you can get some aggressive skates from places for about £40 and that will get you started. Though you won't be able to grind right away, the grinding plates will often be fat plastic beasts whereas you want thinner, metal strips. This will make grinding easier when you get better. You will, at first, be on Abec-1 bearings which are slow. They are good for finding your feet however, so stick to them at first but then pop back to the shops and buy some abec-3 bearings, which will cost about £10 - £20. ... Read the complete review

I used to skate, I used to love skating, I used to love skating all the time. Why don't I skate anymore if I love it? well let me tell you why, there is no where to skate where I live. Me and my friends used to skate up at our school, it was a great place to skate, then we were told that we weren't allowed to skate at school, so we just gave up on skating because there is no where to do it. The reason, by the way, that we aren't allowed to skate at school anymore is because someone fell and hurt themselves bad. It wasn't that we vandalised the school, or were disruptive or anything, just so it's clear. And what makes this worse is ... Read the complete review

Over the last few years the in line skate has replaced the traditional 2 X 2 truck set up of older skates. Being part of the OLD SKOOL setup, I have continued with my 2 X 2 skates. This is despite being a competent Ice Skater which should steer me towards in-lines. I think the main difference in the 2 types of skates are the agility and weight saving that the in-lines give. The In-line skates give much better air out of the top of the ramps and more hang time due to the weight saving. This is cool if you want to do more spectacular tricks. The 2 X 2 gives you more stability when landing the bigger tricks and give you more room for error. At the end of ... Read the complete review

Essentially this is simply a matter of personal preference, and as you can see form my title I prefer street skating, and I wish to offer my opinions on why it is better. Everybody hates being in a crowded park with BMXers flying round the park with no brakes, and skateboarders who don't care whether they carve across your line or not. There is nothing more infuriating when you are going for a trick than somebody getting in your way. This does not happen at a street spot as it is not often that you get a huge group of people at one street spot who are not in the same crew. Another fact is that street skating is much more creative. You are not restricted into ... Read the complete review
