Advantages: Cheaper, better quality.
Disadvantages: -
I have noticed that in UK everyone wants brand clothes. So teens spend an absolute fortune in clothes and shoes and all that. Then they complain about not having enough money to go out and get drunk! I don't like to buy the most popular brand: Nike. There's something about it that I don't like. I think it's the shape and colours of most of it's shoes. It's also the fact that they sell you shoes with air in them for about £60. What's so special about shoes with air? Everyone is allowed air, are we not? Why do they have to sell us air? Now Nike rely on it's name to sell, they don't need to produce good shoes anymore. Reebok on the other hand does not sell you air. It has a special kind of resistance-thingey which only Reebok uses. I don't know it's name but it looks like a bee's nest; hexagone. The shoes that Reebok manifacture look good and are comfortable to wear. I like the three stripes of Adidas. Especially on the sides of the shoes. I think it looks good. Adidas shoes are very simple but yet very comfortable to wear. My favourite of all the shoe brands is Converse. I started liking those shoes because my basketbal idol Larry "Grandma" Johnson wore them. My first basketball pair were Converse and from there on I try to always buy that brand. The shoes look very good, they are very light and they don't sell you air, they sell you a special gel. The problem is that when your shoes are really used, the gel will leak out of the shoes and it can be messy. Nike shoes have the same problem, air will leak out after a while, but at least it's not noticeable. I have bought a pair of Nike basketbal shoes, and they weren't half as good as Converse ones. I really think that Converse is of better quality. And as for price, Converse shoes are cheaper than Nike ones. I now wear casual Converse shoes that I got for £25. The same kind
of shoes but in the Nike brand cost about £40. Cheap prices are also a matter of luck. In one shop, the same pair of shoes was £45 and in an other shop it was £25. So you really need to know where to buy things cheaper. Shoes are shoes, whichever brand they are. And after using them for about a year, they'll need replacing, so why should you buy expensive good quality shoes when you can buy cheaper excellent Converse shoes?
