Advantages: Great fun, not that much more expensive, good quality

What are they
Heelys atomic shoe, are a pair of heelys that resemble skater style shoes, with nice thick laces. It comes in 4 different colours, blue , red, brown and just black. I personally have the blue style one.

They cost around £40, so the price is not much more than a normal shoe, and whats more, they have a lot thicker padding on the inside, making the shoe very very comfortable. Another great thing about this shoe are the grips, which are built to last, and are very thick. But obviously this shoe is a heely shoe, so it also comes with a little removable wheel in the heel of the shoe. I have not quite got the hang of heelying yet, wait for an update once I get the hang of it, and can give stats like average speeds, etc.

There are only 3 cons i can think of using this shoe. Firstly, its is seen as very childish, but personally, its a great way to save time on walking, i think they look stylish, and you can remove the wheel and put in a sole saver, to use them as normal shoes when you want to.
Secondly, there is a steep steep learning curve in learning to heely. For kids, its not too bad, but for adults, its much much worse, as you need to learn how to balance, and with extra weight, its tricky. I have heard that you can get pairs with 2 wheels, which are supposedly easier to use? I would recommend that you research this further if you do not have any skating experience, but i have never seen or owned a pair, so i can not tell you how effective they are.
And lastly, heelys are not very easy to use on rough or hilly ground, i am sure in time, i will be able to at least move a lot faster and controlled than i am at the moment, but only time will tell

Overall, they are so much fun! Its truely unreal, and not that much more than a normal pair of shoes, what are you waiting for?
