Excuse the title. I have had too much caffeine today. When my style changed and became a bit more...baggy, shall we say, I needed a pair of skate shoes that would look good and not break the bank. I opted for a pair of Vans "Prone" in tan and blue priced £54.99 from HSC+ I personally do not skate, and my half hearted attempts at doing so have kept everyone entertained. I did, however, wear these shoes every day for several hours from the 25th of December 2000 to the beginning of August this year so I think I may be qualified to comment on durability! The shoe has a low back and very well padded tongue. The sides of the shoe are also ... Read the complete review

I bought a pair of vans last year for the summer and was a happy bunny. I got a pair of Vans "Drape" for £50 and was very pleased with them. They look great with shorts and don't make your feet heat up too much. The sole of these shoes is pretty cool with a huge Vans logo and good grip and I like the sensible colours. The Vans I got have a huge fat tongue and a low back and although this makes them really comfy they're not exactlt great for athletic activity. They are fine for skateboarding but unless you lace them up tightly (which makes them look stupid) the tend to fall off when really running. Another problem is that you need a ... Vans are probably the most stylish and most desired street shoes of any respective teenager. First becomming popular for sher comfort, vans styling has allowed then to becoma an international sucess. Amongst competitors, i have found the comfort to be the best, although closely rivaled by Kickers' Streetware range. Even with the comfort, Kickers cannot compete with the image that Vans have created for themselfs. Unforchanatly, all this doesn't come for nothing, infact it will set you back quite lot. But if you see a nice pair in a sale, snap em up and you won't regret it. ... Read the complete review

I'm gonna start off by saying i absolutely love my vans. The vans i wear are the 'widow' style not the little canvas ones. For the past 2 years these are all i've been wearing. In my opinion, vans are one of the most comfiest shoes i've worn for a long time. They look really good although they can look wrong worn with the wrong type of clothes, lol. I do find that vans have many negative points but i'm so addicted to them that the negative points don't really matter to me and the positive far outweighs the negative. I do find them quite expensive and for the past 3 pairs i've bought, they've cost me about £55 each. In the past 18 months ... Read the complete review

Vans ~ Introduction ~ Just to let you know beforehand, I realise there were some mistakes made when some were reading my "bats" review. Some of you thought I was reviewing bats as in the black things with pointy ears and now I am reviewing vans ? not as in the large vehicles but as in the skateboarding shoes. Anyway, on with the review now I've clarified that point. ~ History ~ As many companies do, Vans was birthed from a dream of one of its founders, Paul Van Doren. He had learned how to make trainers in a factory on the East Coast and had seen all the shoes he ...
