Disadvantages: don't suit all occasions

I bought a pair of vans last year for the summer and was a happy bunny. I got a pair of Vans "Drape" for £50 and was very pleased with them. They look great with shorts and don't make your feet heat up too much.
The sole of these shoes is pretty cool with a huge Vans logo and good grip and I like the sensible colours.

The Vans I got have a huge fat tongue and a low back and although this makes them really comfy they're not exactlt great for athletic activity. They are fine for skateboarding but unless you lace them up tightly (which makes them look stupid) the tend to fall off when really running.

Another problem is that you need a big baggy pair of pants to make them look good, they look full on stupid with a skinny pair of jeans or trackies.

I find these shoes really comfy and great for lounging around in but it would be great if they were a bit more practical.
